Keep Trucking

I write this coming off of a two week illness and blowing a tire on the interstate during my drive home last night.
To be a stoic for a minute, you only can control how you react to things. Last night after my driver side tire exploded while I was in the middle lane, I could have lost my gourd. However, I didn’t. I mean it is what it is, I knew they were getting worn and kept putting it off.
Previously, I would have freaked out and let being ill and the need to get new tires absolutely stress me out beyond belief; but, I have started to realize there is no point in pissing yourself off on things that come with everyday life and you make clearer decisions when you’re calm and collected. Just move on. Keep trucking to the next day. The sun is still going to rise tomorrow.
Tom Platz said something like you only get one life, you might as well do what you want to do and enjoy it. So why piss yourself off over little things. Life is life, some shit is going to happen that blows; but it does not have to ruin you week. The biggest thing in life is living, enjoy who is around you and the good things you have. Nothing will be perfect and that's the fun of it.
This goes into training I feel also. Somedays you just are not going to feel good, weight isn’t moving smooth, etc. That does not mean it should ruin your session. Adjust how you need to and keep trucking. If your consistency is there, things will turn up. The sun is still going to rise tomorrow.
Overall, what I mean by all this is to be positive. Keep trucking and things will go your way eventually. Keep Trucking.
